What's it all about?
Yin yoga is a slow-paced style of yoga with poses, or asanas, that are held for longer periods of time. Yin yoga poses apply moderate stress to the connective tissues of the body the tendons, fascia, and ligaments with the aim of increasing circulation in the joints and improving flexibility.
Is it for me?
A very meditative approach to yoga, yin aims to cultivate awareness of inner silence and interconnecting quality.
What will it do for me?
Yin yoga is often taught as a complement to more active forms of yoga and exercise. Yin is an empowering practice for athletes, gym users, those that have physically demanding jobs and likewise those that sit for extended periods.
